In a building designed by the famed Post Ranch Inn architect Mickey Muennig, the works of the multi-talented Hawthorne family forms the core of this gallery. Featuring paintings, sculpture, fused and blown glass, furniture and ceramics, the pieces offer a range of contemporary art as practiced by five of Northern California's most talented artists.
Works by additional artists from around the United States are also presented. Each piece shows their original talents, yet a theme of appreciation for space and materials draws them together. Many of the pieces are sculpture, including outdoor installations, in wood, ceramic and a combination of iron and steel. Yet, cast glass, paintings, ceramics, stone and furniture items offer interior works. If your travels bring you to Big Sur, be sure to visit.
