Garrapata State Park offers two miles of beachfront relaxation. You can enjoy coastal hiking and the braver at heart can undertake a 50-foot climb to get a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. If you want to keep your feet closer to sea level, you can experience the beautiful beach and then walk just a few hundred yards away into dense redwood groves that are unlike anything you have ever experienced.
You can watch sea lions, harbor seals, and sea otters frolic in the water at Soberanes Point. If you are lucky enough to be there during whale migration time, California gray whales are easily spotted as well. It is easy to enjoy nature and its creatures at Garrapata State Park.
