To call Deetjens Restaurant quaint and wonderful might be an understatement. Nestled in redwood groves and houses in a building from the 1930s, Deetjens exudes rustic charm and comfort. As you walk into the restaurant, you will be greeted with many knickknacks collected over the years, as well as a fireplace and candles in beautiful antique candelabras.
Deetjen's award-winning restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast and dinner. It is famous for its Eggs Benedict as well as French toast, smoked salmon, homemade granola and Huevos Rancheros. The dinner menu, however, changes by the season and includes seasonally available ingredients that are prepared with the aim to create a robust blend of flavors. Reservations are required since the dining area is small and fills up quickly with locals and guests.
