Icon of the City

The Walker Art Center, established way back in 1879, is one of Minneapolis's true treasures. From its permanent and featured exhibitions of visual art to its live performances of dance, poetry, theater, and more, from its film series to its lectures and tours, the Walker serves as a remarkable hub of culture for the Twin Cities, the region, and the country: a high-class joint, to say the least.

Another highlight of the institution? The 11-acre Minneapolis Sculpture Garden close by, instantly recognizable by its Spoonbridge and Cherry fountain and home to dozens of other installations scattered in a handsome greenspace.
