A Compelling Collection

The University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee is worth a visit even if you aren't a student or teacher. This is where you can find the American Geographical Society Library, a treasure trove of knowledge and study.

There are literally over one million items in this library, and they are actively used by the university here and many others. Aside from conventional books, the library also carries maps, atlases, periodicals, videos, and digital files. The AGSL organizes academic programs independently of the university and frequently hosts visiting professors and scholars.
