Experience the maritime heritage of Wisconsin and the Great Lakes region at the North Point Lighthouse, which is an extensive museum in addition to being a reconstructed lighthouse and home dating from 1881. Local archaeological excavations are still uncovering clues and artifacts from the previous lighthouse on the same place that dates from 1855, which are also featured in the museum.
The current North Point Lighthouse includes the lighthouse tower along with what was formerly the Keeper's Quarters. The entire venue includes historic exhibits about life on the lakes, as well as conference spaces and administrative offices. Exhibits include displays of old lighthouse ledgers, information about famous ships, and historic nautical equipment.
