Locust Projects is a converted warehouse space that focuses almost entirely on showcasing new or underexposed artists from the local area. While it's not the most prestigious studio in the area, it's possibly the most active, with some sort of exhibit or event going on seemingly at all times.
The organization operates as a non-profit and was founded in 1998, helping to add fuel to the reinvention of Wynwood as Miami's art center. One of the regular events to look out for is the annual Out Of The Box project, in which locations throughout Miami allow exhibits from Locust Projects to be set up in various public spaces.
