Come One, Come All

Freedom Tower is an important historical building in Miami, Florida. Considered the "Ellis Island of the South," it was the Cuban Assistance Center for over a decade and offered relief to Cuban refugees fleeing from Fidel Castro. This National Historic Landmark is a gorgeous Spanish style building reaching 17 stories tall and modeled after the Giralda tower of the Cathedral of Seville in Spain.

After its rich history, the Freedom Tower came to belong to the Miami Dade College, the largest Hispanic-serving institution of higher education. Today it serves as the college's premier art space and gallery. It is free and open to the public and is a great place to spend an afternoon learning about its history and viewing great works of art.
