Everyone should enjoy the pleasure of listening to a mariachi group at least once in their lifetime. Depending on the time of year, you might see a farmers market or get to listen to the dulcet sounds of a festival of music when you arrive at the Mariachi Plaza. One step onto the Mariachi Plaza and you'll be filled with the excitement that has been filling the air since the 1930s as local charro-suited mariachi musicians await an opportunity to play. Dating back to 1889, the Boyle Hotel, better known as Mariachi Hotel, stands on the west side of the plaza and is definitely something to check out while you're around.
