Intimate Dining in LA

They say change is good, but some things are just fine as they are - like the comfortable, old, red leather booths at La Scala, a Los Angeles establishment celebrating its fiftieth year of serving delicious, satisfying meals to a steady stream of hungry customers.

If you come in for lunch (no reservation needed), eat like a local - order the chopped salad. Nobody does it better than La Scala - it's crispy and fresh (perfect for those hot LA afternoons) and comes loaded with garbanzo beans, salami, mozzarella cheese and a simple lemon dressing. Make sure to inquire as to what other toppings are available.

Dinner requires a reservation, but the heartier offerings, including beef ravioli, grilled salmon and spaghetti are worth the wait.
