Escape the Sprawl

Los Angles is a busy, bustling place, and sometimes you just need a little peace and quiet. And that's where Griffith Park comes in. Hike, jog, or bike along the trails throughout the 4,210-acre park, golf at one of three courses, rent a horse and go on a trail ride, visit the observatory, play tennis, or just bring a picnic lunch, enjoy the native landscape and let the kids run off some energy on one of the many playgrounds adjacent to the picnic areas. Griffith Park is the largest municipal urban wilderness park in the Unites States, and there's something for everyone.

Utrip Tips

THINGS TO DO IN THE PARK: For a great hike check out the Charlie Turner Trail. This hike starts at the Observatory and ends with staggering views of the LA basin (~3miles).
