Just beware, it’s a beast—and a darn good looking one at that! With almost 100 blocks containing 1,000 stores representing almost 5,000 different apparel and designer lines, everyone from ultra high-end shoppers to and bargain hunters will all have something to find; suits, shoes, jewelry, gowns, purses, ties—everything is here. So if you're trip to LA is actually a mission to update your look—or you're just looking to add a few pieces to your already-pretty-awesome wardrobe—head to the Fashion District and see what makes this place a center for international fashion.
The Fashion District has a few different areas to check out:
Santee Alley: Hodgepodge of bargain goods
The European Corridor: European goods at a discount
Menswear District: If you're looking for menswear, this is your spot
The Flower Market: An amazing spectacle of horticulture.
*Saturdays are when some of the wholesale stores sell directly to the public (think 40–70% off).
*Although it is open on Sunday, there's a good chance a lot of the stores and wholesalers will be closed.
*Come ready to search and bargain. Also, some stores are cash only (and cash may get you a better deal sometimes, too).
