So if you're trip to LA is actually a mission to update your look—or you're just looking to add a few pieces to your already-pretty-awesome wardrobe—head to the Fashion District and see what makes this place a center for international fashion.

Utrip Tips

The Fashion District has a few different areas to check out:

Santee Alley: Hodgepodge of bargain goods

The European Corridor: European goods at a discount

Menswear District: If you're looking for menswear, this is your spot

The Flower Market: An amazing spectacle of horticulture.

*Saturdays are when some of the wholesale stores sell directly to the public (think 40–70% off).
*Although it is open on Sunday, there's a good chance a lot of the stores and wholesalers will be closed.
*Come ready to search and bargain. Also, some stores are cash only (and cash may get you a better deal sometimes, too).
