Much more than just an impeccably designed and maintained Japanese garden, this space was built to foster the spirit of international education and convey a sense of peace and tranquility to every visitor. It was built as a memorial and was inspired by Japenese gardens both overseas and in the United States.
The garden, which includes both plants and water features, takes up an acre of space on the California State University campus. When you decide to come and see for yourself, be advised that this is used as an outdoor classroom by a number of university faculties, like art and science, and that school events can affect the garden's opening hours.
