August in Long Beach means that it's time for the annual Blues & Seafood Festival, which features nationally acclaimed blues bands from all over the country. Located on the waterfront at the Port of Ilwaco, the Blues & Seafood Festival is a two-day chowdown that is half about the music and half about the food court. The food court is a seafood lover's Shangri La, featuring everything edible from the ocean around these parts. Regional microbrews and wines flow freely, and the festival sells out pretty quickly, so it's best to get your tickets well in advance.
