Sugarcane plantations are an intrinsic part of Kauai's agricultural history, and Grove Farm preserves this history in 100 acres of well-preserved plantation. It remains a working farm, setting the plantation house, cottages, and other vintage buildings in a suitably authentic context. One of the displayed locomotives dates to 1887.
Need more locomotive love? Grove Farm also offers free monthly trainrides along a mile's worth of the Lihue Plantation railroad.
