Fort George Island Historic Landscape

Located on Fort George Island, Kingsley Plantation was a former Jacksonville estate and the site of pre-Columbian artifacts. As an important site on Jacksonville's Black History Trail, the Kingsley Plantation reveals slave quarters and provides a glimpse of what life would have been like for the people who lived and worked on this 1,000-acre plantation. When visiting the estate, you'll be able to find out about the personal history of the Kingsleys as well as some of the enslaved people that worked its fields.
