Elk Antler Arbors

Jackson's Town Square, officially George Washington Park, has four main entryways marked by arches of shed elk antlers: among the defining sights of the town. Given one of the very biggest herds of elk anywhere on the planet calls the surrounding region home, those tined archways are appropriate. The Town Square's also known well known for its nightly "Shootouts" in the summertime, an ice-skating rink in the wintertime, and the year-round monument at the center honoring mountain man John Colter, the first Euro-American to explore the Yellowstone Plateau.
