Living Butterfly Habitat

Located at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Cockrell Butterfly Center is where you can bask in the beauty of butterflies as they flit and float in a natural habitat. With its ethereal vibe, there are more than butterflies to admire too. There are many types of insects that make their home there and lush vegetation that provides a lovely backdrop for the animals that thrive there

Some of the butterflies on display at the center include the stunning blue morpho as well as the Antilles pinktoe and red peacock butterfly. You'll also find inclusions like hissing cockroaches and stick insects that round out the insect showcase.
