Celebrate the Crustaceans!

Every spring the Fort Meyers Lions Club - a local branch of a community organization - puts on a feast of all things shrimp. Why shrimp? Because Fort Myers is one of the great centers of the shrimp fisheries, of course. It's a time to enjoy great shrimp dishes, have fun and provide the Lions with the funds they need to support important social causes. Get the small-town feel of Fort Myers by watching the parade - cheer the Shrimp Queen as she comes by on her float! - and browse through the more than hundred food and crafts booths at the expo. There's even an eating contest. Best of all, you can taste some of the freshest shrimp cooked in so many different ways.
