Every spring the Fort Meyers Lions Club - a local branch of a community organization - puts on a feast of all things shrimp. Why shrimp? Because Fort Myers is one of the great centers of the shrimp fisheries, of course. It's a time to enjoy great shrimp dishes, have fun and provide the Lions with the funds they need to support important social causes. Get the small-town feel of Fort Myers by watching the parade - cheer the Shrimp Queen as she comes by on her float! - and browse through the more than hundred food and crafts booths at the expo.
