The Old Crescent City

Long, long ago, the city of New Orleans was a magical place where the French residents welcomed Americans paddling down the Mississippi, traders from the Caribbean and even such famous pirates as Jean Lafitte. You can rediscover that old city at Disneyland with a special re-creation of the city as it once was. Despite the name, it's not exactly a "square." Instead, expect a series of small, Old World-style streets that have a variety of shops. You'll find everything from full-service restaurants to street kiosks offering everything from beverages and fast food to snacks, such as popcorn. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" show is also in this district of the park.
