Texas History Up Close

Home to the Texas Historical Society, the Hall of State holds exhibits that showcase the fascinating history of Texas. And to top it all off, the building itself was built for the 1936 Centennial Exposition, making it one of the most stunning buildings in all of Dallas. Because it’s such a majestic and beautiful building, it has played host to some of the fanciest dinner parties in Dallas's History: from heads of state to royalty, there have been some first class folks that have graced these halls. While we can’t get you on the VIP list for any of these events, we can suggest you meander through the building itself and learn all about each region of Texas—and, in the appropriately named Hall of Heroes—pay homage to some of this state’s heroes, as well.
