The Continental Avenue Bridge is one of the newest additions to Dallas's impressive repertoire of awesome outdoor public spaces. In June of 2014 the Continental Avenue Bridge opened up to the public, offering a pedestrian-only bridge that is something between a bridge and a park. Walk across, enjoy the up close view of the famous Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, stop and play in the fountains, grab a snack at a food truck, engage in a pick-up game of chess, or simply sit and enjoy the scenery. The Continental Avenue Bridge crosses over the Trinity River and Dallas Floodway, so you will also have a great view of one of Dallas's beautiful preserved natural areas. This new addition to Dallas has presented a great place for locals and tourists alike to come enjoy the outdoors and to relish in the local culture.
