Sometimes, a Japanese restaurant gets tagged as a sushi place, when they have so much more to offer. Okawa's lunch and dinner menus include a wide range of Japanese dishes, from tempura, teriyaki, sukigaki and a variety of don dishes. Don't miss the opportunity to try the udon noodle soup (wheat noodles, not to be confused with soba buckwheat noodles), which you won't find everywhere.
That isn't to say that you can't get sushi and sashimi, too. In addition to the nigiri (everyone raves about the Godzilla) and rolls, they also have special sushi selections. For example, the Diablo Roll is made with tempura shrimp, crab meat and unagi, rolled with spicy scallops on top. The dining room is simple and elegant, with an attentive staff, but you also have the option of take-out (with a drive-through window, no less).
