Based on the concept of collaborative, inventive, ensemble-based theater, the Lookingglass Company was established by graduates of Northwestern University in 1988. Ever since, they have worked to create and present new, cutting-edge works. In addition, the company maintains active education and community programs to share their techniques with students and the general public.
When visiting Chicago, be sure to take the opportunity to attend one of their performances. Located in the Water Tower Water Works building on the Magnificent Mile, the theatre is easily accessible, with plenty of local parking (discounted pre-purchased parking is available). The neighborhood also boasts a wealth of fine restaurants for a pre- or post-show meal.
