In the middle of the AT&T Plaza of the Millennium Park, right on Chicago's Loop, is a large sculpture that will bend your view of reality. Some call it a "fun-house mirror" while others say that it's a work of art that offers a new, somewhat bent, view of reality. However you want to take it - as serious art or simple fun - the Cloud Gate sculpture is a must-see for visitors to Chicago.
The 12-foot sculpture was designed and built by the American artist Anish Kapoor. Inspired by the features of the element mercury, the exterior reflects and distorts the Chicago skyline. Underneath the arch of the sculpture, however, visitors can see themselves reflected in new and weird ways.
