There must be something special about Santarpio's Pizza. It's not service with a smile, as being served by a grumpy waiter seems to be part of the experience. But they must be doing something right to be three years winner of the Best of Boston Award.
Established in 1903, Santarpio's serve traditional crispy pizzas, lavishly slathered in their own sauce, in traditional surroundings. With the jukebox playing Sinatra and good cheap wine by the carafe, it's no wonder the place has become a neighborhood tradition.
