Tee off at the Brookline Golf Course, and you can really feel the history underfoot. The prestigious course opened in the early 1930s as one of dozens designed by Wayne Stiles and John Van Kleek, and the basic framework remains true to their vision even as the facility's expanded significantly. There's something here for golfers of all skills and inclinations, and a nice driving range as well for honing your swing.
And when you've worked up a hunger out on the fairway and the putting green, retreat to the on-site VineRipe Grill for refreshments and relaxation. All in all, not a bad day out on the course.
