Veteran Theater

Fabulous productions in a fabulous venue: That's the magic of the Boston Opera House. The resplendent theater opened to great fanfare as a movie palace--the B.F. Memorial Theatre--back in 1928, and presented both films and vaudeville acts in its early years before eventually evolving into the Boston Opera House in the late 1970s. Today, the regal, fully restored playhouse hosts Broadway shows, performances of the Boston Ballet, and a range of other top-tier productions all around the calendar.

From the latest hit musicals to classic dances, the Boston Opera House continues to provide the City on a Hill with world-class theater. And the building itself remains pretty darn breathtaking.
