Advocacy and Activism

In the 1930s and 1940s, Lillie Mae Carroll Jackson changed the face of advocacy and activism as a member and intrinsic part of the NAACP in Baltimore. The present museum, which is free of charge, is housed in her former home, which she willed to the city when she passed away in 1975.
