Camping and Swimming in Spicewood

Since 1955, Krause Springs has been a verdant, peaceful oasis in Texas Hill Country. Located about 30 miles from Austin the in Spicewood, this isn't any ordinary park or campsite. Krause Springs is also listed on the National Registry of Historical Sites, and was formerly private property. Many of the features left by the former residents still exist, making this outdoor space an interesting mix of natural and man-made wonders.

There are no less than 32 natural springs at Krause Springs, many of which still feed both the natural and artificial lakes on the property. The area is equipped with primitive camping sites, and RV parking that includes both water and electricity hookups are also available.
