If you're a history buff, a visit to the Texas Military Forces Museum is worth an afternoon. The museum traces events experienced by Texas military from 1823. The museum boasts 45,000 square feet of air conditioned space and showcases artefacts from the early Texas Revolution, the equipment used by WWI and WWII soldiers, as well as uniform worn by today's Texas National Guard.
Have a fun, interactive and informative visit by trying on uniforms and helmets, climbing into the Cold-War period mess truck, examining the huge collection of tin soldiers climbing into the cockpit of a fighter jet and looking at a piece of the Berlin Wall.
