Grubbin' In a Piece of Austin History

What is now Moonshine started life as a trading post way back in 1852, going through a number of evolutions before becoming a bar & grill in 2003. Since then it's piled up rave reviews, particularly for the brunch served every Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM.

The menu is an interesting mix of "pub grub" appetizers, salads, sandwiches and platters. Popular sides include the green chile cheddar grits, rosemary fries and baked macaroni with bacon gratin. For dessert you'll definitely want to try either the white chocolate bread pudding, the skillet apple pie with salted caramel ice cream or the peanut butter mousse pie with an Oreo cookie crust.
