History-Flavored BBQ

The reason behind Iron Works BBQ's name is a simple one: This popular eatery occupies the historic digs of Weigl Iron Works, established here in the mid-1930s by a tireless German immigrant, Fortunat Weigl, Sr. It's been a house of authentic Texas BBQ since 1978, although beautiful relics of the Weigl era remain as proud banners of the building's history.

Now, food-wise: Come in here hungry or not--the aromas will inspire an appetite in you either way. From platefuls of ribs to pulled-pork sandwiches, from beans, potato salad, and other hearty sides to a fine spread of craft beers, Iron Works BBQ serves up the good stuff.
