The Elisabet Ney Museum is the former studio of the noted 19th sculptress Elisabet Ney. The sculptress purchased property in Austin back in 1892 and turned it into a studio where she painstakingly crafted sculptures of important and notable personalities of the era.
After her death, the studio was preserved as a museum to showcase the talents of the former sculptress. Since that time, the museum has evolved to provide a range of educational programs and workshops, an array of art exhibits, and plenty of special events and lectures held throughout each year.
