The Deep Eddy pool is a magical mixture of the natural and the man-made. Originally just a swimming hole in the Colorado River, it became a resort in the 1920s. It's the oldest swimming pool in Texas.
The pool's now managed by the City, and there's a pleasant showering and changing area that's partly outdoors, so you can get the nice sensation of an outdoor shower on a hot day.
The park and pool are well-maintained and the entry price is reasonable.
The kids' pool has shallow water and plenty of shade, especially in late afternoon.
