Smithsonian-Affiliated Medical and Health Museum

While some of us just like playing doctor, many others dream of becoming one. Since 1996, The David J. Spencer CDC Museum (originally the Global Health Odyssey Museum) has appealed to the latter group as the only part of the CDC that's open to the public.

Award-winning rotating and permanent collections highlight the history and purpose of the CDC as well as a variety of health topics. Suitable for ages nine and up, this specific museum requires an hour or two to complete. Admission and parking are free, however, so why not gain a new lease on life?

Utrip Tips

* The museum will be closed from May 29th to June 16th 2017 for exhibit installation.
