The First Flight

Not only is this compelling venue a place to see vintage hot air balloons and learn about the history of steam-powered flight, you can also find anything you need regarding balloons and ballooning through the museum's vast social and community networks. That includes the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, which the museum hosts and organizes.

The exhibits tell the story of ballooning from the first flight in 1783 to the use of balloons in modern wars. High ceilings and lots of open spaces make this an ideal location for private events and holiday parties.
