You might want to file the highly luxurious Reflets under the category of "you only live once," unless you are accustomed to eating in restaurants with a Michelin-starred chef. Accessible only by private elevator, Reflets is a feast for the eyes as much as the palate. Rarely will you see thick, plush purple carpet and pink chandeliers in an eatery, in Dubai or elsewhere.
The food is divine, including the traditional French "amuse bouche," which are bite-sized appetizers. But that's only the beginning of a menu that gives new meaning -- or flavor -- to chicken. Like any good French restaurant, there's fine cheese, and the desserts are truly not of this earth. If you're budget-conscious, the bill will bring you back to reality.
