Located in the picturesque Al Fahidi Historic Neighbourhood, The Majlis Gallery first opened its doors in 1989 with the goal being to "promote the works of artists of international standing" and act as a hub where creative minds can congregate. The Majlis Gallery features solo and group art exhibitions from creators around the world and these exhibits rotate through on their way to and from other galleries.
The word "majlis" means "meeting place" and is renowned for its historic architecture and as a glimpse back in time to when the entire area was a "sleepy port town."
You can visit the Majlis Gallery from Saturday to Thursday from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
