Located close to the beach, is one of the Emirates most important Islamic archaeological sites. Ruins at this site date back to the 6th century, and there has been some incredible finds made there in the past.
The foundations of numerous stone houses have been found, as have the remains of a souk (a public market) In order to visit the site, one must obtain a permit from the Dubai muesum. It is an incredibly inspiring visit, so worth the effort of gaining permission to attend.
