Staple of Istanbul Dining

Since 1945, Beyti has been serving top-of-the-line Turkish cuisine, and over its many decades has hosted more than a few international dignitaries, stars, and assorted bigwigs. Grilled meat--including the trademark Beyti kebab--anchors the menu. Beyti Güler, who established the joint with his father, still owns the place: what a run! Maybe not the choicest eating establishment for vegetarians (though there is plenty of green stuff offered), Beyti is a genuine institution of Istanbul gastronomy: definitely a place to get your meat on, Turkish-style--which means some darn good meat.
