House of Flowers

Gülhane Park means "Rosehouse Park" and gets its name from the Turkish word "house of flowers". Flower lovers will appreciate the sites. This lavish urban park is located in the Eminönü District of Istanbul, Turkey.

Gülhane Park, formally part of the Topkapı Palace gardens, was opened to the public in 1912. Numerous sightseeing paths and a large pool make for relaxing and scenic walks. Historic trees from the 1800s dot the landscape. On the western side of the park, The Museum of The History of Science and Technology in Islam is located. It's a must-see as the museum has exhibits of 140 replicas of inventions spanning the 8th to 16th centuries from many different areas.
