Local History Collection

The Heritage Museum of the Bahamas is located in the magnificently preserved historic Mountbatten House, right opposite the Graycliff Hotel in Nassau.

The museum features a broad array of exhibits and collections that offer visitors an in-depth look at the history of The Bahamas. The timeline of the collection encompasses the days of Columbus and the golden years of the piracy era, as well as highlighting the history of slavery and plantation life on the islands.
