Fort Charlotte is an historic military fort built on a hill that overlooks the harbor of Nassau. The fort was first built in 1788, showcasing British-colonial era architecture, and offers breathtaking views of Paradise Island, Nassau and the harbor.
The fort features a moat and 42 cannons along the battlements that have never been fired in battle. There are also underground passageways dungeons in the basement to explore.
For those visitors who prefer to explore historic sites on their own, the fort does offer plenty of detailed historical information on signage and various exhibits along the way.
