Meet the Reclining Buddha

An easy stroll from the Grand Palace, Wat Pho is just as grand in its way: After all, it's the home of the mighty gold-leaf Reclining Buddha, at some 150 feet long once of Thailand's largest Buddha statues. There is also a fantastic collection of other Buddhist imagery on display here, including hundreds of other Buddha figures and some fantastic murals. Beyond the architecture and the artwork, Wat Pho is also worth visiting for its...massages! The temple happens to be one of Thailand's leading schools for traditional massage, and visitors can avail themselves of the skills on tap here.
