Athletes from around Valencia come to Pelayo Trinquet to play the traditional sport of pilota, which is a bit like racketless tennis. This is where the final matches of the most prestigious pilota tournaments are played. Matches have been going on here—uninterrupted by war, famine, or oppression—since the court's inauguration in 1868.
