Canovas is the mainstream hub of Valencia. This area is normally packed with students, locals who just got off work, and those who want to spend the night with general weekend crowds dressed up and swaying to popular beats. Alternative or underground music does not exist in Canovas. Instead, there is a lot of Latino influence, meaning you will usually hear some sort of reggaeton and latino pop -- think Shakira. The Plaza de Canovas (Calle Serranos Morales) has variety of clubs from free entry to exclusive red carpet nightclubs.
