Murillo Gardens is a relaxing change of pace from the surrounding streets located in the historic center. Within its almost 30,000 square feet walls are several tiled benches, flowers, trees and ancient city walls, all make this space peaceful and interesting. There are also hedges and dense vegetation to make this large space more intimate. Some of the species include honeysuckle, magnolia, pagoda trees, tree vines and Canary Island palms. In the center you'll find a large circular fountain surrounded by busts of Catholic monarchs and a monument to Christopher Columbus, consisting of two tall columns with a lion on top.
