Where the Pope Goes

Built in 1760 by King Carlos III, the Basilica de San Francisco el Grande is a Roman Catholic Church dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi. The cathedral has the largest dome in Spain and incorporates three chapels. One of the chapels contains a painting by Francisco Goya as well as large paintings by lesser-known artists. The cathedral also has a French organ, murals, and 12 statues of the apostles.
