800 Years of Art

The Thyseen-Bornemisza Museum is home to a wide range of pieces that span from the 13th century all the way to the late 20th century. While you're here, you'll have the chance to view art from various artistic eras, including the Renaissance, Mannerist, Baroque, and Romantic periods—just to name a few. The museum also houses an impressive spread of Impressionist, Fauvist, and avant-garde pieces, too. On top of all these eye-catching works of art, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza also has the largest collection of 19th century American paintings in Europe, just in case your trip needs a touch of the colonies.
